Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, East Java.
16 September 2011.

Visitors flock on Mt Penanjakan, around 2900m above sea level, to witness a trio of volcanoes. The dormant Mt Batok takes centre stage in front of the smoking Mt Bromo and Mt Semeru, farther in the background. It is one of the many stunning views the nature has to offer.

I’ll try to put up something regarding the trip soon!

Pic: Mount Marapi

Mount Marapi, West Sumatera.
11 March 2008.

At the top of the most active volcano in Sumatera, trudging aimlessly, we were both enervated and genuinely mesmerised. It was a breathtaking experience to be enveloped in a thick mist 2890m above sea level, on such a barren, growthless terrain that resembled a moonscape. For first-timers like the three of us below, the climb served as an eye opener – there are even more fascinating things to be discovered high in the sky!

And I fell in love with both volcanoes and mountains that day.
Cheers.

Study!

Posted by mae on Tuesday Sep 6, 2011 Under General

Mardi, le 6 septembre.

You know it’s not easy for us students to continue doing what we do ‘best’ after a week-long holiday, especially when it was l’Hari Raya…which unfortunately passed by way too quickly for our liking. I, for one, have lost the momentum and for me to get up and start running again, it will cost a few precious days. 😆

Nah just kidding. Moi, je suis toujours en forme!

And while I’m still stuck here trying my best to pave the way for a bright, pleasant future in the Hexagon, I am nevertheless truly delighted to inform that a dear friend of mine is getting ready to spread her wings in the Kingdom of Jordan, pursuing her studies at the renowned Jordan University of Science and Technology. She’s due to board the plane this Wednesday, so let us wish her all the best! 😀

Et maintenant, je vais dormir. Merci.
